Job Description:
- 5+ years of overall professional experience in software engineering
- Working experience with Java and OOP/OOD
- Excellent Java/J2EE, SQL, Unix skills.
- Working experience with Test Driven Development and exposure to testing and automation of Web based application
- Working experience with Service oriented architecture and REST
- Proven experience of being able to diligently analyze, troubleshoot and provide Root cause analyses of LIVE issues
- Proven experience of direct communication with business stakeholders and building trust with them through efficient and thorough turnarounds to their requests
- Proven reference of being a fast learner with good business outcomes
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Must be able to ramp very quickly to a distributed SOA based system with ownership spanning across time-zones and locations
- Must possess excellent problem solving abilities and analytical skills to address business queries and LIVE issues quickly
- Experience with agile and comfortable with Scrum process to work comfortably in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to do multi-functional roles such that he/she can switch hats comfortably at any time to being a developer, tester or scrum master
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation
- A proven track record of being a fast learner of complex systems and processes in a software engineering environment
- A proven track record of evincing complete ownership in engineering areas assigned such that they can run it individually without the need for constant guidance
- Due to the criticality of the timelines associated with the team’s deliverables, it is imperative that the candidate resumes sent for consideration are vetted for very high quality by the vendor with proven fast ramp-up experience, before presenting to Paypal.
- Strong consideration will be given to candidates with prior Paypal experience, for the above reasons.
